これまで色々な項目についてバラバラでお伝えしてきましたが，項目毎にまとめました。
Chapter ２ は「文型と動詞」，Section 5は「第３文型」についてお伝えします。
第３文型 S ＋ V＋O (＋修飾語)
★第３文型は主語と述語動詞の後に目的語が続きます。
★目的語には名詞が使われ，動作や行為の対象となる語が置かれます。
例文
1. My sister likes sports.
私の妹はスポーツが好きです。
★like(～が好き）は他動詞なので，直後に目的語の sports が続いています。
× My sister likes.
「私の姉は，が好きです」という意味になり不自然です。
必ず何が好きなのかを表す目的語を続けましょう。
2. I think that he is very smart.
私は彼は利発だと思います。
★think (～だと思う) は他動詞なので直後に目的語の that he is very smart を続けます。
ここ注意！
自動詞と間違えやすい他動詞に注意しましょう。
〇 The typhoon is approaching Tokyo.
台風が東京に近づいています。
× The typhoon is approaching to Tokyo.
＊approach は自動詞の用法もあり，「どこに」という目的語を伴わずに使います。
〇 The typhoon is approaching.
〇 He did not attend the meeting.
彼はその会議に出席しませんでした。
× He did not attend at the meeting.
〇 Let's discuss it again.
それについてまた議論しましょう。
× Let's discuss about it again.
〇 She entered the room.
彼女はその部屋に入りました。
× She entered into the room.
〇 He married a beautiful lady.
彼は綺麗な女性と結婚しました。
× He married with a beautiful lady.
★「～になる」という意味の get と形容詞の married を使って表すこともできます。
〇 He got married to a beautiful lady.
