自動詞と他動詞の違いについての4回目です。今回は他動詞と間違えやすい自動詞についてです。
自動詞なので、目的語を伴う場合は前置詞が必要です
他動詞と間違えて前置詞を落とす間違いが多い自動詞をいくつか挙げますので、この機会に確認しておきましょう。
✖ I complained him about the issue.
〇 I complained to him about the issue. (苦情を言う)
✖ He apologized me about the issue.
〇 He apologized to me about the issue. (謝る)
✖ She graduated Tokyo University.
〇 She graduated from Tokyo University. (卒業する)
✖ I agree you.
〇 I agree with you. (同意する)
✖ He consented the proposal.
〇 He consented to the proposal. (承諾する)
✖ Please reply that question.
〇 Please reply to that question. (答える)
✖ He objected the plan.
〇 He objected to the plan. (反対する)
前置詞を落としたとしても意味は通じますが、なるべく正しく使いたいですね(^_-)-☆
