自動詞と他動詞の違いについての5回目です。今回は自動詞と間違えやすい他動詞についてです。
他動詞なので、目的語の前に前置詞は不要です
自動詞と間違えて前置詞を加えてしまう間違いが多い他動詞を、いくつか挙げますので、この機会に確認しておきましょう。
✖ We discussed about it.
〇 We discussed it. (～について議論する)
✖ He mentioned about it.
〇 He mentioned it. (～について話す)
✖ We reached at the office.
〇 We reached the office. (～に到着する)
注) arrive (到着する) は自動詞
✖ He entered into that tall building.
〇 He entered that tall building. (～に入る)
注) (～を始める）はintoが必要(例:enter into negotiations)
✖ She resembles to her sister.
〇 She resembles her sister. (～に似ている)
✖ She married with a novelist.
〇 She married a novelist. (～と結婚する)
✖ They approached to the town.
〇 They approached the town. (～に近づく)
✖ Please answer to the question.
〇 Please answer the question. (～に答える)
注) reply (答える) は自動詞
✖ We considered about all the possibilities.
〇 We considered all the possibilities. (～を考慮する)
前置詞があっても意味は通じますが、なるべく正しく使いたいですね(^_-)-☆
