話題に困ったら、天気について話すのもいいかもしれません笑。今回は天気に関する英語表現をご紹介します。
天気といえば climate と weather の違いをご存知でしょうか。
climate: ある地域の平均的気温
weather: ある時、ある地域の気象

It is sunny / rainy / cloudy / windy / snowy/ foggy / stormy.
晴れ /雨 / くもり / 風が強い / 雪 / 霧 / 暴風
It is nice and warm.
暖かくて気持ち良い
It is hot and dry.
暑くて乾燥している
It is cold and snowy.
寒くて雪が降っている
変化
It is getting warmer (and warmer).
だんだん暖かくなってきている
これから
It is going to be cold tonight.
今夜は寒くなりそうです。
It looks like rain.
雨になりそうです。
注）この rain は名詞であることに注意。
The temperature will drop tomorrow.
明日温度が下がります。

寒い → 暑い
freezing → cold → chilly → cool → warm → hot → boiling
不快 → 快適
humid / muggy → nice / beautiful
Nice weather, isn't it? と話しかけられて、Yeah, it sure is. と答えたあと、話が続かなくて困ったことがあります。
